David Gerber grew up in Switzerland and qualified as a veterinarian in Zurich in 1988. After qualification he worked at the University of Zurich until 1994, when he moved to the University of Pretoria in South Africa. In 2003 he left the University as an Associate Professor and founded V-Tech together with Johan Oosthuyse. V-Tech is a South African company that owns compounding pharmacies, where David is chief technical officer. Since 2010 he is rendering technical support to Saviela and is acting as an independent sales agent.
